UCT Economics Society

About the UCT Economics Society

The UCT Economics Society, based in the School of Economics, at the University of Cape Town, serves as a central hub for news about economics events and webinars at UCT or in South Africa, and occasionally from further afield. Please click on the logos above to access our communication channels. Occasional news from the field is also shared on social media.

Subscribing to the WhatsApp announcement group is a convenient way to receive notifications for upcoming events. Only the admins send messages, which happens about once every few weeks. Join our Telegram channel, which has a linked chat group for banter, jokes, economics help with Q&A, etc., from across all years, but in the Slack Workspace, you'll find dedicated channels for each year and course. Try out economics.stackexchange.com for your economics questions, and show off your reputation there with us in our Telegram group!

Follow us on Twitter, or on Facebook. Subscribe to our mailing list on Vula.
